Frozen Silver Fish (White Baits)
Whitebait, or commonly known as the silver fish in Asia, are a collection of small, immature fish between 1-2 inches long, and may comprise different species of fish, such as the herring, anchovy and the bass.
The whitebait, being tiny, can be eaten as a whole fish, and they are tender due to their immaturity. Mostly enjoyed as a crunchy salty treat, the whitebait are delicious when dusted with flour or a light batter, deep fried and served hot with a dipping sauce.
