Vannamei PDTO Prawn
Vannamei prawns (called the Litopenaeus vannamei), native to the eastern Pacific Ocean, are farmed along the coasts in Southeast Asia. The farming of Vannamei prawns has been increasingly certified as sustainable, in accordance to international standards. It has also become the most farmed prawn species globally.
The Vannamei prawn is meaty and has a sweet flavour. It is suitable for many kinds of culinary methods, including steaming, grilling, pan-frying and sautéing.
Our Vannamei prawns are farm raised, and flash frozen for freshness and quality. We offer a value added product whereby the prawn is peeled, deveined with tail on (PDTO). This processed product helps our customers enjoy fuss free kitchen preparations and reduce cooking time.
